It's another crucial weekend coming up for the Knights who are in league action against the Telford Tigers at home and the Peterborough Phantoms on the road.

The Knights battled last weekend in a double header against the Bristol Pitbulls and came away with three points to keep them in third spot. It was a goal-fest at Planet Ice, Bristol with the Knights taking just the one point in a 6-5 overtime defeat, but they secured both points the following evening at The Castle with a tremendous 5-2 victory. Edgars Vengis got the Knights on the scoresheet and went on to score a hat-trick, with Danny Harrison scoring his first Knights goal and Bow Neely scoring his third of the season.

And now attention turns to this weekend. The Telford Tigers will be in town on Saturday, and it's set to be a competitive game with the pressure on to claim points and keep the title race on.

The Tigers are currently sat in 5th place on 40 points and will be looking to prove a point after a tough couple of games last week; they lost at home in overtime to the Phantoms on Saturday before a difficult loss on the road to the Romford Raiders.

Last time we hosted the Tigers, it was a Man of the Match performance from Innes Gallacher who scored a hat-trick in the Knights' 7-2 victory, along with goals from Finn Bradon, Matt Bissonnette, Mac Howlett and Balint Pakozdi.

One to watch out for on the Tigers' team this weekend is their top points scorer Eric Henderson. In 36 games, the Canadian has racked up 63 points: 14 goals and 49 assists.

On Sunday, the Knights will travel to Peterborough to take on the Phantoms. Sitting three points behind Ryan Aldridge's side, they will be looking to build on their success from last weekend; they beat the Tigers in overtime in Telford on Saturday and beat the Basingstoke Bison on home ice by five goals to three on Sunday.

The Phantoms took the points last time round at The Castle so Leeds will be looking to flip the script this weekend. Cam Hough scored twice and as the top goalscorer for the visitors, he'll be one to watch this weekend.
