The Morley Glass Leeds Knights are pleased to announce that Kieran Brown will be returning to the club for the next three Planet Ice NIHL National League seasons!
The 25-year-old forward, who reached 600 points in Leeds colours earlier this season, has once again put pen to paper, continuing what is becoming one of the most decorated careers in the club's short but trophy-laden history.
Kieran Brown, sponsored by Crowther Mayoh Financial Services, has been a key part of the Knights since arriving in the summer of 2021, going on to win three league titles, a playoff crown and a national Cup. His numbers across his Leeds career speak for themselves. In his first season he posted 109 points in 48 games. He followed that with 121 points (2022/23), then 122 points (2023/24), then 102 points (2024/25), all while taking on leadership responsibilities and developing a defensive structure to his game that has made him a more rounded and influential player than the one who first walked through the door back in 2021. In the current 2025/26 campaign, despite missing time through injury, he has contributed 67 points in 40 games and continues to set the standard night after night.
What makes those numbers all the more extraordinary is their context. Brown is a British player producing output that import players are typically brought in to provide. He has done it consistently, in big games, against every opponent this league has to offer and he has done it while growing into a respected figure in the dressing room.
Additionally, last summer brought further recognition when Brown made his senior debut for Great Britain at the IIHF World Championship Division 1A, contributing a point as GB claimed gold and earned promotion. This follows Brown’s journey through the GB age-group pathway that began at Under-16 level.
Head Coach Ryan Aldridge was delighted to confirm the news: “Its great to have Kieran back for another 3 years. He gives us a chance to win every night and is a massive part of this club. He will be a key part to what we want to achieve here and as we look forward to next season we know he will play a massive part in us looking to get back to winning ways.”
Brown himself was equally clear on why the decision was straightforward:
“I’m really happy to re-sign. The organisation, the fans, the direction we're going, there's nowhere else I'd rather be right now. We've built something special here as a team and I'm not done yet. We've won a lot together but lifting more trophies at the end of a season is always the goal. That's what drives me every day."
With the 2025/26 playoffs on the horizon, Brown and the Knights will be looking to add yet another piece of silverware before turning their attention to next season and judging by the numbers, the hunger shows no sign of fading.
More signings news to follow as the Knights begin to build their 2026–27 roster.
