The Morley Glass Leeds Knights are excited to announce the return of Danny Harrison for the 2026/27 NIHL National League season.
Harrison will be returning for his third season with the Knights organisation after joining the club ahead of the 2024/25 season. The 17-year-old is a product of the Bradford junior system and has continued to develop his game in Leeds, representing both the Leeds Knights and Leeds Knights 2.
He has gained valuable senior experience whilst also continuing to progress as a young player, utilising the club’s player pathway. His commitment to improving his game and willingness to learn has seen him become an important member of the organisation.
During the 2025/26 season, Harrison feature in 38 league games for the Nights and recorded seven points – five goals and two assists. His speed, energy and relentless work ethic helped him adapt to the demands of senior hockey last season and he will be looking to build on this with another season in blue and yellow.
The young forward earned a call-up to represent Great Britain at the Under-20s World Championship but unfortunately missed out due to injury at the end of the season. The call-up in itself is a testament to the hard work he puts in and his determination and positive attitude to learn.
Head Coach Ryan Aldridge said: “Danny is a very skilled young man with a great shot and he can create space for the players around him. He is in a key part of his development and he is becoming stronger and stronger. I am looking forward to watching and working with him again this year. He has a world of talent and that’s why it was key to have him back again.
On his return, Danny Harrison said: “I’m really happy to be signing back with the Knights for next season. The time I've spent here so far has been great so I'm excited to get going again in September and build on from last year.”
We are looking forward to welcoming Danny back to The Castle for the 2026/27 season.
